How to wear great color combinations.
Hi everyone,
Today we are taking a look at color combinations. I believe that a look doesn’t need to be black and white in order to feel chic. Sometimes it’s a great color combo that makes a look interesting.
In my wardrobe I prioritize neutral colors, because they offer more versatility with styling. Neutral colors also make it easier to re-wear my favorite pieces over and over. These neutral colors are anything but boring though, especially when combined well.
The key to putting together a color combo that works is to match the depth of the tones. For example pairing a pale gray with a pale beige looks very natural, while pairing a deep navy blue with an equally deep brown is a perfect match. You can put together a monochromatic look combining different shades of the same color, or you can create contrast by color blocking. Here you would be combining basic colors like black or white with a color that’s not similar to them. One of my all time favorite color combos is butter yellow with a clean white. Très chic !
